for anyone who has read Malcolm Gladwell's The Tipping Point (which is referenced in this film), these ideas will seem pretty familiar. but it's always interesting to think about how trends come to be and how people influence and become influenced in that context. especially coming from an arts background, i'm always curious about how music, fashion, design, and all the rest of those cultural and creative touchstones become the next big thing.
